This 3 Ingredient Spicy Mayo is Soo Good!

I make this spicy mayo all the time because it takes about 30 seconds and tastes way better than anything Iโ€™ve bought. Itโ€™s just mayo, sriracha, and a squeeze of lime, but somehow it makes everything better: sandwiches, sushi stacks, avocado fries, roasted veggies, you name it. This spicy mayo is the thing I reach for when food needs a little kick without a lot of effort.

Happy Cooking!

Spicy Mayo Ingredients

Ingredients to make spicy mayo.
  • Mayonnaise: Any mayo will work, but I love using my easy homemade mayo! Often this is made with Japanese Mayo which is much thicker.
  • Sriracha: Technically any hot sauce will work, but I really like the tang from Sriracha. Plus, itโ€™s a thicker hot sauce which is helpful for this recipe. Other options include Chipotle in adobo, Sambal or Gochujang.
  • Lime juice: Fresh lime juice is best here. Use lemon instead, if needed.

Recipe Variations

  • If making for sushi or poke bowls: swap the lime juice for rice vinegar and add a pinch of sugar. If you want to drizzle it on top of a poke bowl, try thinning it out with 1 tablespoon or so of water. Try this with my Smoked Salmon Sushi Roll.
  • For topping burgers or making a dip for fries: swap the sriracha for chipotle in adobo and add ยฝ teaspoon garlic powder. Try this with my Avocado Fries.
  • For sandwiches or wraps: swap the lime juice for lemon juice and add two cloves of minced garlic. Try this with my Veggie Avocado Sandwich.
  • For serving with fish tacos or rice bowls: add ยฝ jalapeรฑo (minced) and 2 tablespoons of chopped cilantro. Try this with my Salmon Tacos.
